Doctor Profile
Dr. George Yamaguchi received his dental degree at Hokkaido University, School of Dental Medicine and extended his study on Oral Medicine at Graduate School of Dental Medicine at the same university to earn Ph.D.
He says:
“I was born in Los Angeles, California, USA, but spent most of my childhood in Toronto, Canada.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that my interest in orthodontics had been nurtured during my life in Canada. I remember a fairy good number of my Canadian friends were wearing braces on their teeth. It was a very common sight. With my dexterity, orthodontics could be my future profession, I thought. When I opened my own practice in Tokyo, I named it Maple Orthodontic Clinic. I had made up my mind since the days I was studying in university that I would definitely name my clinic ‘Maple’. This, needless to say, comes from my emotional attachment to my memorable life in Canada.
I’m more than happy to provide my orthodontic services for non-Japanese people living in Japan. My good command of English will be of some help for better communication with them, I hope”.
